Richard E. "Dick" Martin, age 85, born in South Bend, IN, passed away on January 5, 2022. He was a long-term resident of Highland Heights with his beloved wife of 56 years, Marian (nee Fioritto). Devoted father of Kathleen Martin Hwa, PhD (Dr. John), Mary Martin-Androjna (Frank), and Richard C. (Kimarie). Loving grandfather of Jonathan and Christopher Hwa, Alexander and Ethan Androjna, Arianna, Andrew, and Emilia Martin. Beloved son of the late Charles and Lucille. Dear brother of Anita Goepfrich, (Leo), the late Donald, James, and the late Cheryl Rucano.
He received an Associate's Degree from Valparaiso and worked for Allen Bradley/Rockwell as field service engineer and manager, designing and servicing computer control systems. He served his community on the Highland Hts. Planning and Zoning commission and was active at St. Paschal Baylon church as Head Usher and in the Catholic Men's Fellowship. He was an avid bowler and sports fan and enjoyed sharing his hobbies, including gardening, trains, cards, and magic, with his friends and grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 10:30AM, St. Paschal Baylon Church, 5384 Wilson Mills Road Highland Heights, OH 44143.
